How it works

Hello!
This is where I will try to help you place your order. I will give you guidance on how to take the right photos of your pet and how to choose the best ones.

Please note that the base price is for one unframed portrait.
You can choose the number of portraits, portrait size, and frame from the menu options. I offer a white and black frame.
You can choose one or more portraits.

STEP 1
Choose a size and frame. Choose number of portraits:

STEP 1: Choose a size and frame. Choose number of portraits.

Select the size from the "Size" drop-down menu. You can choose from a wide range of sizes from 5x7 inches to 24x36 inches. Your choice depends on the space you have available. Some sizes can be ordered ready to hang. You can choose between white and black frame.
In the "Quantity" menu, enter the number of portraits you want to order. For example, if you choose a quantity of 2, you will receive two separate portraits in the size you choose. For a quantity of 3, you will receive 3 individual portraits in the size of your choice.
If you would like me to paint two, three or more pets in the same portrait, please email me. In this case, the price is the same as for 2 or more individual paintings, but if you want it framed, the price for two or more pets on one sheet of paper with one frame will be different and I will determine this according to the number and size. In such cases, you should write me an email to clarify the details.

STEP 2
Submit photos of your pet:

PHOTOGRAPHY TIPS
As a custom portrait artist, I work very closely with my clients for my goal is for you to be 100% satisfied with your unique portrait. To create the portraits, I use photos, which are the only source of information for my work, so I ask my clients to provide a selection of photos to create the most accurate image. The photos you send me are paramount to an excellent result, the better the photo, the better the finished portrait. Sometimes I have to reject a lot of photos due to quality issues, but that's no reason to give up. The following lines will help you take the best photos to get the truest possible portrait:

QUALITY - The first thing I look for in a photo is quality. To recreate the most authentic portrait of your pet possible, details are important to me, so the more details there are in the photo, the better your portrait will be. This is especially important for your pet's basic characteristics, such as the colors and shape of the eyes, nose, and fur. It is very important that the photo is clear and in focus and that all parts of your pet are visible - both eyes, ears, and also the neck. All I rely on in my work is your photo, so please don't compromise on its quality.

LEVEL - The best position is to take the photo at your pet's eye level. Photos taken from above so that your pet is looking up look unpleasant and unnatural to the eye. The best option is when your pet is looking directly at the camera or at you. It can be with a slightly tilted head and tongue sticking out to enhance the mood the portrait evokes, especially with a "smiling" pet.

Please note that with a "Corner" portrait, I will be the one to specify whether your pet is painted from the right or left corner of the paper depending on the photos you provide me. If you order more than 1 corner portrait, they can be from the right and left corners, from both left corners or from both right corners. It depends on the pictures you send me and my judgment. Of course, I always give my best so two corner portraits lean towards each other, but on some rare occasions due to the photos, that is simply not possible.
We can always discuss this further.

For portrait, which I call "Nose to Nose", it's extremely important to shoot your pets in profile. This is the most important condition for this portrait. If you send me photos from the front and from an angle other than the one in profile, I will not be able to do a "Nose-to-nose" portrait. You can photograph the two animals together or separately as you see fit. Only and only in profile.

LIGHTING – Take a photo of your pet in natural light, preferably outdoors. The best time is on a bright cloudy day, but not in direct sunlight as this can create hair sun reflections that most often change the color of the pet's hair.
Turn off the flash - please NEVER use flash. Flash creates a number of problems - it often masks a lot of detail, causes unnatural sharp shadows, changes colors and can often lead to the dreaded red-eye or glow-eye effect.

I hope the information on this page is comprehensive enough and I have managed to touch on every step of the ordering process. If you still have questions, you can leave me a message or an email anytime and will be glad to assist you. I always try my best to reply ASAP.
